Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Membership Coordinator (MMC) is responsible for leading the creation and execution of YFNCT marketing and membership programs, services and resources in conjunction with the entire team, and supports all programs, services and events of YFNCT. The MMC will work with the local, regional, national & international networks to promote Yukon Indigenous arts, culture and tourism. The MMC participates in media and travel trade shows, conferences and events, to engage with key stakeholders and industry in and outside Yukon. The MMC also supports and assists in the identification and execution of partnerships with key culture and tourism industry partners to support the organizations’ overall goals and strategic plans.


The Marketing and Membership Coordinator is responsible for:

Strategy & Plans

  • Supporting the development and implementation of a YFNCT marketing plan with key stakeholders and partners, to include a co-op marketing plan for members
  • Supporting the implementation of a YFN Arts Brand Program in partnership with the YFNCT Arts Department

Membership Program

  • Growing and managing the YFNCT membership program including regular newsletters, a resource library and the members database and directory
  • Developing and sharing resources, best practices, links and materials related for tourism development for membership, promotions and program opportunities

YFNCT Online & Social Media Channels

  • Working with YFNCT Team to develop and manage the new YFNCT visitor focused webpage – Indigenous Yukon
  • Managing content for YFNCT and Adäka’s social pages (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter)
  • Managing content for the YFNCT and Adäka websites

Marketing & Promotion

  • Leading the distribution and of the YFN Welcome Guide
  • Leading the development of all YFNCT marketing collateral including brochures, lure pieces, banners and more
  • Leading the marketing and promotion of all events and conferences including the Adäka Cultural Festival

Digital Assets

  • Leading the creation and management of YFNCT digital assets (Video & Stills) for marketing and promotional purposes

Media & Trade Shows

  • Leading the coordination, booking, logistics, attendance at media show and consumer shows including Go Media
  • Working in partnership with the Tourism Development Officer on the coordination, booking, logistics, attendance and follow-up to any consumer or trade shows including Rendezvous Canada

FAM Tours

  • Leading the creation and coordination of all YFNCT Familiarization (FAM) Tours focused on media including story concepts and itineraries
  • Serving as the primary liaison with any travel media or local FAM tours focusing on Indigenous tourism stories, entrepreneurs and communities
  • Work in partnership with Tourism Yukon to support the research, planning and implementation of Yukon Government media and travel trade FAM tours to support the inclusion of Indigenous culture and content


  • Managing and fostering strong relationships for collaboration with local industry organizations and businesses and the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada
  • Developing strategic partnerships as part of the Sponsorship Program with the Adäka Cultural Festival
  • Representing YFNCT at meetings and conference to further knowledge and stay informed with latest industry research


  • Providing other marketing and communications support to the team
  • Participating in organizational research and reporting related to tourism and sector development including opportunities for programming or funding, partnerships, networks, events, etc.
  • Other related administrative duties in support of a successful team, program and organization
  • Performs other related duties as required
