YFNCT Membership and Stakeholder Update - Fall 2025
YFNCT Membership and Stakeholder Update - Fall 2025
To our valued members, partners, and affiliates,
It’s been a while since our last update, and we’re thrilled to reconnect with you! Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as YFNCT moves through an exciting period of growth and transformation.
In 2024, we proudly marked 30 incredible years of championing Yukon’s vibrant arts, culture, and tourism sectors. This milestone is a testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication of our amazing community — artists, tour operators, cultural centres, and partners who continue to bring Yukon’s stories to life.
As we look to the future, we’re reimagining YFNCT’s role — strengthening community connections, building dynamic partnerships, and amplifying Indigenous voices in tourism. There’s much to come, and we can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.
Update for 2025-2026
Recovery & Stabilization
In response to evolving circumstances, YFNCT made the thoughtful — and at times difficult — decision to pause several longstanding cultural and tourism events to focus on strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability. While these beloved events are temporarily on hold, our commitment to celebrating and sharing Indigenous stories, traditions, and creativity remains unwavering.
Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, completing and implementing key organizational changes to rebuild our foundation and stabilize operations. These efforts are setting the stage for a renewed strategic direction — one that will ensure YFNCT continues to thrive and support our communities for years to come.
What’s Next: Shaping Our Strategic Future
The pause in programming has given YFNCT a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the past 30 years — how we began, the vision that guided our founders, and the shared commitment to building vibrant, sustainable Yukon First Nations arts, culture, and tourism sectors. This moment of reflection is helping us honour our roots while shaping a strong path forward.
To Our Membership
We’re excited to be working with Gúnta Business Consulting to guide our strategic planning process — a process that will shape YFNCT’s future direction and strengthen our role in supporting you, our members and partners.
And we want to hear from you! How can YFNCT best serve your needs, elevate your work, and create opportunities for collaboration and growth?
In the coming months, we’ll be hosting in-person and online engagement sessions to gather your ideas and feedback. Dates and details will be shared soon — we hope you’ll join the conversation and help shape the next chapter of YFNCT.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to build a stronger, more connected future for Yukon’s arts, culture, and tourism community.
Gunałchîsh, Mähsi’ cho, Shäw níthän, Sógá sénlá, Thank you!
